This particular watch was manufactured before the brand Universal Genève was registered, it was still Universal Watch; with its balanced porcelain dial and well-proportioned case, this watch has maintained its timelessness flawlessly.
This chonograph with the pusher at 6 O-Clock, is one of the very first ever manufactured by Universal Genève an houses the 16,3/4 Lignes manual wound movement.
The very well preserved case is in Solid 0,800 Silver, commonly called 'Continental/European Silver', the original porcelain dial is original (Not refinished).
This is an impressive and extremely rare timepiece.
THE STORY
Universal Genève has been on the up and up over the past few years and it's easy to see why. This famous company was founded in LeLocle, Switzerland in 1894 and was known as "Universal Watch".
Since its inception, Universal Genève has produced watches with unusually high quality for their price point. Universal Genève was among the first brands to introduce a chronograph wristwatch.
Today, the firm's vintage models are highly sought-after and desired for their case and dial designs.

This watch is in extremely good condition for its age. The 16,3/4 Lignes movement is the first chronograph mechanism manufactured by Universal.
The original porcelain white dial with the blued steel 'Spade' hands looks fabulous. This is a fine and rare vintage chronograph, elegant and scarce, with an impressive presence on the wrist.
